Newt Gingrich recently spoke about terrorism and it reminded us, once again, of our years long suggestion that we mine our borders. Politicians appear to be horrified of this suggestion but we will observe them being a lot more horrified if we lose an American city or millions of Americans are killed in a biological attack. Newt Gingrich is no "lightweight" so please read the part of his speech we have printed below! ********************* ...The third thing I want to talk about very briefly is the genuine danger of terrorism, in particular terrorists using weapons of mass destruction and weapons of mass murder, nuclear and biological weapons. And I want to suggest to you that right now we should be impaneling people to look seriously at a level of supervision that we would never dream of if it weren't for the scale of threat. Let me give you two examples.
Some people say that if Iran
successfully develops nuclear weapons, it's
all over but the shouting. Relative to that
subject,
here is a bit of interesting news.
As you read this, you might ask yourself
the following question:
Given the political focus of today's
majority in Congress, will they have the
"fortitude" to protect us and our allies from
"nutcases" with nukes or will they cut and run to
a defensive position around the "bathhouses"
of San Francisco?
Franklin Roosevelt found a
way to pull the U.S. away from it's
unwillingness to embrace geopolitical
involvement by using the Nazis willingness to
exhibit themselves as inhumane brutes and by
Japan's stupidity in attacking Pearl
Harbor.
The Jihadists are exhibiting
similar traits of brutality but they may not
be so strategically stupid as to unite the
American public by executing anything less
than a truly crippling blow. Maybe that's why
we have not seen another attack on U.S. soil
since 9-11. Sure, we should give the Feds and
the billions spent some credit but lets not
discount that perhaps another strategy may be
at work here also.
This link was sent to us by a RiteOn.org "regular" who lives in Callaway County, MO. It may represent a "worst case scenario" or it may not. We present it so that you may decide for yourself.
Are we truly on a path to this type of future? Many believe this "scenario" is not possible, many believe we are already well down the road to living it and possibly, a majority, just don't give it any thought at all. Contrary to that last view, we believe the subject deserves some thought by all Americans. We believe that it lies in our power to decide what kind of future our children and grandchildren will inherit... at least for now!
