ANN COULTER ON "TRAJECTORIES"

This article was sent to us by Galveston, TX reader JH with the following comment:
"Chuck, This Ann Coulter article posted 15 August 2007 was too good not to forward.  Verified that Human Events ran the article, among other sites.  Best regards, JH"

IF AT FIRST YOU DON'T SUCCEED, LIE, LIE AGAIN

Suspiciously, Daniel Pearl's widow is suddenly being lavishly praised by the Treason Lobby. Jane Mayer, co-author of the discredited hit-book on Clarence Thomas, "Strange Justice," published an article in The New Yorker last week recounting that Mariane Pearl was called by Alberto Gonzales in March with the news that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed had admitted to American interrogators that he had personally beheaded her husband and they were going to release the transcript to the press. Mayer wrote: "Gonzales' announcement seemed like a publicity stunt."

Frank Rich followed up with an article in The New York Times saying of Gonzales' call: "Ms. Pearl recognized a publicity ploy when she saw it."

Inasmuch as these are journalists who adjudge George Bush more evil than Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, their perception of reality is to be treated gingerly. But if Ms. Pearl is toying with the idea of becoming the latest liberal cause celebre, she might want to consider the trajectories of the rest of them.

DICK MORRIS: SOME FACTS ABOUT HILLARY

BILL CLINTON LEAVES SOME THINGS OUT OF HILLARY'S BIOGRAPHY
by Dick Morris

Go to http://www.hillaryclinton.com
and check out Bill Clinton's syrupy five-minute ad for Hillary. He introduces the commercial by saying that he wants to share some things we may not know about Hillary's background. His version of her biography is about as reliable as if it appeared in Pravda!

So, I wanted to make a few corrections.

Bill says: Hillary never wanted to run for public office, but she did want to work at public service.

The facts are: When Clinton was considering not running for another term as Governor of Arkansas in 1990, Hillary said she would run if he didn't. She and Bill even had me take two surveys to assess her chances of winning. The conclusion was that she couldn't win because people would just see her as a seat warmer for when Bill came back licking his wounds after losing for president. So she didn't run. Bill did and won. But there is no question she had her eye on public office, as opposed to service, long ago.

Bill says: In law school Hillary worked on legal services for the poor.

The facts are: Hillary's main extra-curricular activity in law school was helping the Black Panthers, on trial in Connecticut for torturing and killing a federal agent. She went to court every day as part of a law student monitoring committee trying to spot civil rights violations and develop grounds for appeal.

THE BEST BEHAVED MILITARY -- EVER!

THIS WAS SENT TO US BY TEXAS SUBSCRIBER, JM...
The article below came from a Navy Chaplain friend.
As you probably already know America's military personnel are a cut above their coffee latte and capuchino drinking civilian counterparts.  No wonder they're kicking terrorist butt in Iraq, Afghanistan and anywhere else the cowards will crawl out of their hole and give us a chance to kill them. Troops And Crimes
History's best-behaved military
By Ralph Peters

The media love to trash our troops. Every crime alleged to have been committed by a soldier or Marine in Iraq is headlined until it seems that those in uniform are so busy with atrocities they haven't got time to fight.

No accusation is too preposterous for "respected" media outlets to feature, and the left-wing press convicts our troops long before they see a courtroom. Our service members are portrayed (by those who never served) as a sadistic rabble.

But when you look at the facts - the hard numbers - a very different picture emerges.

BAD LEGISLATION!

This commentary focuses is on legislation that vastly increases the truck axle weights for St Charles County. There is much that can be said about how legislators OK such lawmaking and the huge bridge failure in Minneapolis should serve as a warning. Legislation hustled through at the last minute and "strategies" crafted by lobbyists that are likely the result of big campaign donations does not, in this case, consider the condition of the roads and bridges in St Charles County and, therefore, is unworthy of support.

We should thank Councilman Joe Brazil who first raised the red flag on this issue and point the finger of shame at those legislators who inflicted these large increases in truck axle weights on the roads and bridges of the county.
