SHOOTING IN BUTTE, MONTANA

12/19/07 Addendum to the story below:
Several readers have pointed out to us that the facts and circumstances depicted in this article are not true. We apologize to anyone who was mislead by our publication of the story. We did so in good faith and have the following comment on that:
In checking with the Urban Legends pages we find that while they say the story is (in their opinion) false, they admit that their opinion is based on NOT FINDING EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT THE STORY. This is different from proving it NOT TRUE, but certainly there is room for skepticism.

If the story were true (or proves to be true in a different location, etc) we would support the point made, as many readers have indicated in their comments. What's more, there are actual, true instances of minors defending themselves successfully with firearms and the point of the story we printed, was meant to support those circumstances whenever and wherever they would occur. The "gun control" advocates will use any pretense to disarm the population and, though we do our best not to mislead anyone, we will not succumb to the idea that we should accept gun control because a story that well illustrates our point of view is incorrect in detail... Shotgun preteen vs. illegal alien Home Invaders,
Butte, Montana, November 5, 2006

Two illegal aliens, Ralphel Resindez, 23, and Enrico Garza, 26, probably believed they would easily overpower home-alone 11 year old Patricia Harrington after her father had left their two-story home.

It seems the two crooks never learned two things: they were in Montana and Patricia had been a clay shooting champion since she was nine.

Patricia was in her upstairs room when the two men broke through the front door of the house. She quickly ran to her father's room and grabbed his 12 gauge Mossberg 500 shotgun.

Resindez was the first to get up to the second floor only to be the first to catch a near point blank blast of buckshot from the 11-year-old's knee crouch aim. He suffered fatal wounds to his abdomen and genitals.

When Garza ran to the foot of the stairs, he took a blast to the left shoulder and staggered out into the street where he bled to death before medical help could arrive.

It was found out later that Resindez was armed with a stolen .45 caliber handgun he took from another home invasion robbery. That victim, 50-year-old David Burien, was not so lucky. He died from stab wounds to the chest.

Ever wonder why [this sort of story] never makes NBC, CBS, PBS, MSNBC, CNN, or ABC news....

Now that is Gun Control

One could speculate that the major media outlets except for FOX News would rather have this little girl become a victim of these criminals than be able to protect herself! ..Ed

Thought for the day - calling an illegal alien an "undocumented immigrant" is like calling a drug dealer an "unlicensed pharmacist" ...

HERE WE GO AGAIN!

Apparently, the Chairman of the St. Charles County Central Committee wants to continue drawing attention to the leadership vacuum that exists on that Committee.  We refer to the laborious list of excuses he made in a recent O’Fallon Watchdog commentary in response to O’Fallon businessman Joe Cronin’s observations about the 16th Legislative nomination “debacle.” His reply to Cronin in O'Fallon Watchdog illustrates this.

Our main point here is to point out how far from free and democratic the process was that nominated a Republican candidate to succeed departing State Representative Carl Bearden (District 16) in a February special election. As Tony Brockmeyer (Ist Capitol News) so appropriately phrased it in a recent commentary, the Party leadership insists on pursuing "...special interest politics..." and "...the politics of personal destruction..." Our view is that there’s a pattern of practice here.

In September, Central Committee members eligible to vote in that District were summoned to a nominating meeting.  In what has become business as usual, the “word” prior to that meeting indicated the Party choice was Mark Parkinson, a former Bond staffer, with the clear inference that everyone should vote accordingly. This ignored the fact that Ray Stone, also a viable candidate with considerable political experience and professional credentials, was running.  Despite continuing strong direction from the Committee “leadership” in favor of Parkinson, the vote was close and Parkinson emerged with a narrow victory.  Some voting members, including at least one Parkinson supporter, were outraged at the Party / Committee leadership’s display of favoritism.

AMNESTY FOR ILLEGALS... AGAIN AND AGAIN

Forwarded by RiteOn.org Contributor CP, Phoenix, AZ....
******
I don't think I would remove this subject from your respective radars. Without citizen supervision, these previous bills would have passed and there will be more.  They'll keep trying.  Defeat these people at the polls and don't elect anyone who flip flops on this issue with the prevailing wind to get themselves elected.  Candidates need to possess core values and character on this subject.  Others can't be trusted to carry-out the will of the people.

One Reporter's Opinion - Americans Fed Up With Stealth Amnesty
Thursday, November 8, 2007 3:47 PM
By: George Putnam

It is this reporter's opinion that the amnesty crowd won't die easily.

Led by Senate majority leader, Harry Reid, D-Nev., Ted Kennedy, D-Mass., and company, they've tried five times to shove comprehensive immigration reform through and each time the American people, in their infinite wisdom, have rebuked them.

The defeat of the DREAM Act was a major setback. Then came California Sen. Dianne Feinstein's attempt to add the AgJOBS bill to the Farm Bill and again they fell flat on their faces.

Feinstein admitted that amnesty efforts lacked popular support and its proponents could not overcome the opposition.

The recent Bank of America fiasco is further evidence that when the people speak, the amnesty crowd listens. Customers tore up their BoA credit cards when the bank decided to give credit cards to illegals. It cost Bank of America a 32-percent drop in business.

The threat is not over. Feinstein plans to bring up AgJOBS amnesty as a stand-alone bill later this year. But the amnesty crowd may be getting the message.

Eighty House Democrats and Republicans teamed up to propose a new
immigration enforcement bill saying they reject the Reid-Kennedy attempt at amnesty.

A large number of rank-and-file Democrats agree with most Republicans that the first step should be a get-tough approach to border security. This new approach includes going after businesses that hire illegals; improving information sharing among the IRS, Homeland Security, and Social Security to track illegals; and increasing the number of enforcement agents at the border. We the people are speaking up. The people are fed up with plans to merge the United States into a North American Union with Canada and Mexico which would destroy American sovereignty.

We are:
·  Fed up with the refusal of the Federal government to secure our borders.
·  Fed up with armed Mexicans illegally crossing our borders and assaulting Americans.
·  Fed up when Americans like border agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean are sent to prison for defending us from drug-smuggling illegals.
·  Fed up with the millions of illegals in America costing taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars every year.
·  Fed up with politicians who refuse to enforce immigration laws and claim it is "impossible" to deport criminals who are here illegally
·  Fed up with illegals who take advantage of free medical services to dump their medical bills on our backs and push our hospitals into bankruptcy.
·  Fed up with federal, state, and local systems overrun by illegal aliens costing taxpayers billions each year.
·  Fed up with the fact that illegal aliens kill an average of 12 Americans
every day.
·  Fed up with politicians who pamper illegals with driver's licenses and free public services.

Americans are fed up with the Mexicanization of America! And finally, we are fed up with a president and members of Congress who consistently work on behalf of illegals and the state of Mexico and against the interests of the American people.

The American people are fed up, mad as hell, and we are not going to take it anymore!

ANYBODY WONDER WHY GOLD IS GOING THROUGH THE ROOF?

The dollar slumped to record lows and stock index futures fell sharply early Wednesday after Chinese officials said they would further diversify the nation's $1.43 trillion in foreign reserves in view of a declining U.S. dollar. "We will favor stronger currencies over weaker ones, and will readjust accordingly," said Cheng Siwei, vice chairman of China's National People's Congress, told a conference in Beijing. Siwei's comments sent the euro to a new record high of $1.4703, gold futures up $20 to as high as $848, and oil futures as high as $98.6. At the same conference, Xu Jian, a central bank vice director, said the dollar is losing its exclusive status. "The world's currency structure has changed; the dollar is losing its status as the world currency," Xu said....

COMMENTARY: POLITICS AND MILITARY INTELLIGENCE

You may find the following link (bottom of page) to be of interest. It illustrates how important military intelligence is and shows how costly a failing in this area can be.

The disclosure of this historical information brings up many questions that relate to today's political environment.

One question might be, how could a spy such as Robert Pelton be allowed to pass off such important information to an enemy agency such as the KGB? Could it be that U.S. intelligence agencies are under such pressure from their political overseers that the wrong kinds of people are appointed to manage these activities? Or could Congress and/or the Executive Branch of government be so infiltrated with those who have contempt for the military and for national defense that they are "enablers" of these kinds of intelligence failings?

These are questions we must answer when we choose our elected representatives. Military intelligence is not a political "game." It is serious business where lives are at stake! For the safety and security of our country, it is important to pay attention and choose our political leadership wisely.

Here's the link referred to in the first paragraph:Please note: If the link takes you to a cover page, copy it and paste it into your browser address box, it should then take you to the correct page.)
