SUNDAY RANTS AND THE ETHANOL HOAX

Farmers are finally getting rewarded for their production. Too bad it’s happening through ignorance and stupidity. (See The great corn and ethanol hoax by Walter E. Williams) ...... Same “deal” as the Border... Political “leadership” just can’t handle it and, as a result of long standing voter frustration with politicians, we could wind up with far out “lefty” nut cases filling government posts and imposing radical policies on the American People!

Right now, the “hard core” socialist lefties are running “incognito” and engaging in a political campaign that is carefully disguising what they will do if they win, and they are ahead! Except for Fox News and conservative talk radio, the media is ignoring their obligation to expose this. Still, there is time for them to make it right! If the two leading Democrat Presidential candidates, along with their “fellow travelers” are able to fool enough voters and if enough conservatives ignore the obvious, the radicals will get control of the White House. Combine that with a socialist leaning majority in Congress and that’s when the real nutcase policies will emerge! Think it can’t happen? Read on...

If either Hillary and/or especially Obama are elected, get ready for MUCH higher taxes, many that are “creative,” on productive people. There really is nobody else to tax. Does anyone think they will raise significant revenue taxing Teddy Kennedy’s trust funds or the pickle lady’s homes in Switzerland or wherever? For instance, take as an example our health care system. There would likely be imposition of a “selective socialized system” where a person who needs a kidney transplant and who has worked and paid taxes all of their life, will wait six months (or more) behind a 400 pound heavy smoking drug addict who has been on welfare all of their life. Oh yes, “choice will be available” as “slop” to the masses but only under conditions and at a price where only the “Jet Set” and “government elites” can choose it! The “anchor person” of the medical class who is there because he or she is of the correct “gender, racial or ethnic” background could perform critical surgery. (NOT because their grades were good) Maybe they “qualified” because their uncle was a long-time member of the Rainbow Coalition or a supporter of the Rev. Sharpton. Maybe the “duty surgeon” is an illegal immigrant just getting the “Nancy Pelosi treatment.”

It will be more likely that skilled surgeons will be out on the golf course when they are needed, and why not? Under socialized medicine there aren’t any incentives that could possibly replace a good game of golf! Besides, if the “less proficient” surgeons can’t “practice” on your body, how are they going to improve to a level where they can also play golf! There will be no grading or testing of anyone because “testing is now obsolete and offensive, especially to those who must spend time checking grades and risk suffering criticism from the politically well connected (now the majority) for failing their brat. (Get ready for your ticket agent to sub for your airline Captain on “good weather” days!)

The borders will be thrown open, gasoline taxes will be doubled or tripled, price controls will be placed on energy resulting in oil companies selling elsewhere and that will create shortages. (Bicycle riding is good for you and “local” businesses will prosper because you simply won’t be able to get very far from home!) Small business will “enjoy” the fruits of a government generated “paper blizzard.” All but the most essential highway and infrastructure construction will stop because the Treasury is being emptied in favor of “increasing the standard of living” for poor people around the world. If you believe this scenario is “far fetched” read the remarks of Nancy Pelosi: (When asked how these new tax dollars would be spent, she replied: "We need to raise the standard of living of our poor, unemployed and minorities. For example, we have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who need our help along with millions of unemployed minorities. Stock market windfall profits taxes could go a long ways to guarantee these people the standard of living they would like to have as 'Americans'.") She is referring to taxing all profits you may have made, past, present or future, in your 401K or your retirement plan (No credit for any losses is mentioned.)

These policies won’t be imposed overnight. (Just as Fidel Castro showed up on the Tonight Show just after he took over Cuba, to lull Washington to sleep and explain to Jack Paar how “democratic” and “fruitful” his regime in Cuba would be!) These policies will be implemented gradually until one morning we wake up and find we are a socialist nation and you have to make a trip to a government office to obtain a piece of paper that will allow you to buy tires, visit your doctor or do whatever else you might need to do. There will be little you can do about the situation since government workers combined with those getting free handouts will outnumber the voters. (This is almost the case today!)

With the foregoing in mind, even if there is ANY chance of this happening, can even one conservative voter afford to sit on the sidelines and watch? We think not! ....... RiteOn.org
