A MODERN THIRD REICH FOR AMERICA

The term “power grab,” now being thrown around by some in the media, may not be comprehensive enough to describe what the Democrats under the Obama-Pelosi-Reid combo may be trying to do. Here are some of the “indicators” we need to think long and hard about:

1.    Obama’s Secretary of the Treasury is demanding that Congress give him the power to “regulate” (shut down, penalize, create or veto policies) any corporation, business (possibly any "entity" that money can be traced to) that he deems to be a threat to the national interest. No definitions are given concerning how, what or why.

2.    Control of the Internet, nation-wide, by moving authority to stop, censor or intrude upon any activity they deem "not to be in the national interest” (whatever they don’t like) to the White House.

3.    A new national “youth corps” will be created from the ranks of organizations like Acorn, the Black Panthers and other, "liberal friendly" organizations. They will start with the census and go from there. It will be funded with large sums of taxpayer money and will operate under the total control of the White House.

4.    The President is bypassing normal legislative processes with speeches around the nation in order to put pressure on members of Congress to vote in favor of his budget (to give him the vast authority he wants).

5.    The major media, except for FOX and Talk Radio is and has been “in the tank” for Obama and publishers pressure any reporter into silence who writes anything likely to be important that is critical of the socialist-liberal agenda. (Look at the number of “softball questions Obama regularly receives in interviews.) Let’s face it, it shows what a gutless bunch they are but to be fair to reporters, they need to pay their mortgages too!

6.    Threats in the form of the “Fairness Doctrine” are being “floated” in a crude attempt to silence commentators such as Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham.

When we look at the current Administration initiatives and “connect the dots,” Obama’s current actions are similar to the way Adolph Hitler consolidated his power and took total control of Germany after he became Chancellor in 1932. Germany was experiencing economic hardship and its leaders allowed chaos to exist in the streets. Hitler took advantage of that and offered, “progress” as he directed his cadres of “true believers” against those he perceived to be a threat to his dictatorship. We should look for more signs of that happening here.

Three conservative judges on the Supreme Court have agreed to hear the case brought by attorney Orly Taitz concerning Obama's qualifications to be President (the Constitutional requirement to be "native born"). Four judges are needed in order for the case to be heard so that means one judge normally considered "conservative" has moved to the Obama side on this issue.

People everywhere say it couldn’t happen here. Well, few in Germany thought it could happen there either… but it did… and right under people’s noses! This is not to say that most Germans weren’t big supporters of what Hitler brought in the way of efficiency, prosperity and organization. They were proud of it... that is until things began to “unravel.” Germans had traded freedom and democracy for an efficient dictatorship and a great many eventually paid the ultimate price for doing so. As has been said so often, “freedom is not free,” we have to work for it.

In observing the Administration’s current and on-going activities, we would say that we were still in the “convincing” stage because a lot of time and energy is being put into “salesmanship.” What will happen if they fail to “sell” their program? Well, that would be “inconvenient” and costly to people like George Soros but our guess is that whatever control is needed for the accomplishment of previously outlined objectives will be taken anyway. After all, as Obama and Pelosi have stated, “we won” (the election).

One last thought. Have we already given so much authority to one Party by putting them in absolute charge of Congress and the White House that we have abandoned control of our future? God forbid, but that may be the case!

I voted Democrat because I love the fact that I can now marry whatever I want. I’ve decided to marry my horse.

I voted Democrat because I believe oil companies’ profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn’t.

I voted Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

I voted Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

I voted Democrat because when we pull out of Iraq I trust that the bad guys will stop what they’re doing because they now think we’re good people.

I voted Democrat because I’m way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.

I voted Democrat because I believe that people who can’t tell us if it will rain on Friday can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don’t start driving a Prius.

I voted Democrat because I’m not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

I voted Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as THEY see fit.

I voted Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters.

I voted Democrat because my head is so firmly planted up my backside that it is unlikely that I’ll ever have another point of view.

STOCK MARKET EUPHORIA

Is stock market euphoria justified now? Yesterday the stock market's major index climbed nearly 500 points!

One assume that this is in response to details put forth by Treasury Secretary Geithner concerning ways to "handle" the "toxic assets" of the banks. Does the average American who owns a 401K or retirement plan really understand what a "toxic asset" is? That's a subject for another commentary so we will leave it there with the advice that anyone who wants to see how the American public is getting screwed, big time, should look into this "term." We will give you our views and the ramifications of getting "stuck" with someone else's bad investments in coming commentaries. Meanwhile back to the stock market "bounce."

In our view, economic conditions may look like they are "getting better" because the media and many politicians have a vested interest in promoting Obama's "genius!" There are so many politicians looking to cover their butts and Bankers, TV money advisors and others that are looking for a turnaround because, for all kinds of reasons, including needing the "Messiah" to be seen as a white knight in shining armor, they have already been caught with their fingers in the cookie jar and need "cover" for some really stupid actions and monetary policies. We were bound to have some sort of turn up when the markets went so rapidly to record lows. A lasting rebound however, flies in the face of reality and investing fundamentals.

Personally, we are SELLING into this rally but this is NOT the point of this commentary nor is it intended to be investment advice for others! We are NOT in the Bernie Madoff "business!" What you do is your own concern, as is the outcome. We are merely offering how we view the economic scene FYI.

In case it's been "off your radar" another BIG shoe that may drop soon is a SERIOUS question about whether China will continue to buy U.S. Treasury Bonds. One might consider the ramifications of what would happen to interest rates if the U.S. were not able to sell its debt. China (and others) have indicated that they are getting nervous about whether the "paper" they hold will be worth SUBSTANTIALLY less over the next few years. The concern about this is justified, as yours should be! Borrowing action by the Treasury and the Fed to achieve Obama's budget requests is bound to spark Jimmy Carter style inflation and perhaps sooner rather than later. No less an authority than Sen. Judd Greg has stated that these proposals, if enacted, would bankrupt the country.

As we have written many times in our commentaries, the Fed has a policy of inflating the economy over the long term. This is how the government steals the public's purchasing power, through inflation. Lately, though, things have gotten so off the track that their "normal" policies of counterfeiting currency have gone into overdrive and it is worrying the Chinese and others who hold trillions of U.S. Dollars in the form of Treasury Bonds.

VERY PROPHETIC

Norman Matton Thomas (November 20, 1884 - December 19, 1968) was a leading American socialist, pacifist, and six-time presidential candidate for the Socialist Party of America.  He was ordained as a Presbyterian minister in 1911.  As a candidate for President of the U. S. , Norman Thomas said, in a 1944 epoch speech:

"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of "liberalism", they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened." He went on to say: "I no longer need to run as a Presidential Candidate for the Socialist Party. The Democratic Party has adopted our platform."

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO CREATE OUTRAGE?

Here’s a video of Rep. Todd Akin (R-MO) on the floor of the US House of Representatives speaking about the way the stimulus bill was passed. It should be noted that since Rep, Akin’s presentation, it has been discovered, according to news sources, that not only was Sen. Dodd the source in allowing the AIG bonuses to be exempted from restriction but the exemption was demanded by the Obama White House and Sec. of the Treasury Geithner! In plain language, Geithner wanted the AIG executives paid their bonuses IN FULL and Dodd was apparently more than happy to insert the language into the bill that guaranteed the payment!

If this doesn’t create outrage among the taxpayers in this country, WHAT WILL???

PILOTS WILL NO LONGER BE ARMED

It is obviously the Obama Administration's goal is to, one way or another; enforce strict gun control on the nation. The Washington Times has published an editorial that illustrates one aspect of this socialist-liberal effort to disarm the population and make everyone personally defenseless. Of course, Obama Administration policy makers would first attack the easiest and less widespread targets. One of these "less visible" but very important programs is the armed pilot program.

Pilots have been allowed to carry guns on board commercial flights since the events of 9/11 providing they went through a Federal training program. This training was done for obvious reasons: to provide protection for passengers in the event of an attempted "incident." Now, that program has been eliminated, passengers will, once again, be needlessly exposed because significant obstructions have been placed in the way of individual pilots being able to carry weapons. In our opinion, this represents yet another instance where a liberal-socialist policy significantly exposes people to potential tragedy. We are certain that the Jihadists will take note of each instance where policy changes will give them an advantage!

OBAMA'S "LEGITIMACY" QUESTIONED IN THE COURTS BY THOUSANDS OF CITIZENS

A substantial number of people feel that the Supreme Court has an obligation to hear the case brought by attorney Orly Taitz on the question of Barack Obama's legitimacy to hold office.

As you can see from the following excerpt, a substantial number of citizens have gone to court, represented by Ms Taitz and others, to obtain a satisfactory answer to this question. We suspect that opinion on the matter rests with one's particular political persuasion or how deeply one believes that the Constitution of the United States should be supported.

EXCERPT: ... At the lecture in Idaho, Taitz grabbed the attention of Justice Roberts by boldly addressing her allegation that a clerk had buried the case.

Taitz told WND that the forum rules required that those questioning Roberts announce their relationship to the University of Idaho and refrain from talking about cases currently before or likely to appear before the court.

"I said, 'Justice Roberts, my name is Orly Taitz. I'm an attorney from California, and I got up at 3 o'clock in the middle of the night, flew and drove thousands of miles just to ask you a question. So please give me some leeway,'" Taitz told WND. "My question is, do you know there is illegal activity going on in the Supreme Court of the United States?"

According to Taitz, the room was stunned silent as she continued, "I have presented my case to you, and you personally agreed to hear this case in conference. But your clerk refused to forward a supplemental brief to you. He has hidden this brief from you. He refused to put it on the docket. Additionally, my case was erased from the docket one day after the Inauguration, two days before my case was to be heard.

"Outraged citizens and members of the media and state representatives are calling the Supreme Court, demanding to have the case reentered on the docket," Taitz told Roberts.

Then she held up the WND petition and continued, "Moreover, here are the names of U.S. citizens who signed this petition and who sent individual letters to individual justices, including you, Justice Roberts, all of them demanding the same thing - that you hear my case in regards to Barack Hussein Obama's eligibility for presidency."

According to Taitz, Roberts approached the microphone and said, "I see you have papers. I promise you I will read all your papers, I will review them. Please give them to my Secret Service and I will review all of them."

Shortly thereafter, Taitz told WND, a Secret Service agent identified by his badge as Gilbert Shaw accepted two suitcases of documents and pledged to deliver them to Roberts. ...
