PANDEMIC WARFARE?

There are many easy ways to spread infection to the U.S. through a human engineered virus for purposes of attempting to create a pandemic. Allow us to hypothesize. Let’s assume that Al Qaeda had operatives employed as service workers at certain Mexican resorts. Follow us while we show how they could spread a virus to, let’s say, New York, without even coming to the U.S.

Let’s say a group of school children from New York were on a trip to Mexico and were staying in a resort hotel where a few Al Qaeda agents were employed. Let’s say one of these agents strikes up a friendly conversation with the children and casually asks if they missed being at home and when they were returning there. The children would happily and naively provide an answer such as, “tomorrow morning” or “this evening” whereupon the agent would pick the earliest group returning and in any number of ways transmit the infection to some or all of the children. The infection would be unleashed when the children returned home and mingled with their parents and the general public. These hypothetical Al Qaeda agents might also be untrained in handling such material thereby infecting themselves in the process. Under this scenario, it is assumed by officials that the disease originated in Mexico!

Along these lines, if anyone believes Al Qaeda would care about making their own agents sick, remember, they send women and children into public places to blow themselves into bloody little pieces and they believe in killing their enemies by rather crude methods, one being gruesome decapitation! A technique they would likely use with more serious and deadly biological agents, is to infect “martyrs” with these highly contagious diseases and send them across the Mexican or Canadian borders before the disease became apparent!

There are dozens of very simple and easy ways to spread a biological agent, depending upon the character, potency and delay of symptoms, and there would be virtually no effective defense against these techniques except to seal our borders. We realize that such activities are unsavory for the average person to consider but governments have an obligation to protect their citizens and it is their responsibility to “think about” such possibilities and to develop realistic and effective plans to deal with them! A reasonable argument can be made that our government (under both the previous Administration and the current one under the control of naive liberals) seems to oppose EFFECTIVE policies that will secure the borders. In the case of the current Administration, this view applies in many areas of potential attack other than biological. In the case of the new swine flu outbreak, they seek to allay our fears by calling attention to how many people annually die from flu outbreaks anyway.

One of Al Qaeda’s stated strategies is to bring the non-Muslim world to its knees through the bankruptcy of financial systems. Now we have seen Joe Biden, the Vice President of the United States, on television, publicly crippling the financial recovery of the airline and travel industry by issuing statements that aid the aforementioned strategies of our enemies. Just how dumb is that!

We can see that the present near pandemic caused by a “new” swine flu virus fits Al Qaeda’s objectives in the same way their actions on 9/11 did. Bin Laden is no fool; he spends a few dollars that cause us to spend hundreds of billions. A pandemic brings economic activity to a halt, creates panic among citizens, causes broad political change in governments who practice democracy, and creates general chaos. What could be more suited to the purposes of our enemies? Remember, we aren’t saying our enemies caused this flu outbreak or are even involved, we are simply asking obvious questions such as do we recognize these dangers and are we prepared for them! If we want to go further, we might ask, did Al Qaeda have a hand in the current swine flu outbreak? Could this have been a “test run” to gauge our vulnerability? We reply, who knows? It’s a cinch our government doesn’t!

SEN. SPECTER'S DESERTION

We agree that Sen. Specter has been a poor representative of the Republican Party but most politicians, whether Republican or Democrat will do whatever it takes to save their hides and everyone knows that so let’s not communicate with grass roots people as though they were a bunch of fools. The Party knew what Specter was before he ran the last time and they still brought out the brass band for him and gave him money. The Party should have found someone that could beat him THEN in the primary!

As far as damage to Party interests is concerned, we refer you to what John McCain did to Sen. Ted Stevens of Alaska. McCain wasted no time jumping all over Stevens just as soon as accusations emerged. The least he could have done was tell people not to draw conclusions until all of the facts were in. Many of us believe that, with this action, McCain lost Republican control of the Senate! We believe Stevens would have won in Alaska had it not been for McCain’s damaging, premature and widely broadcast conclusions about Senator Stevens difficulties.

There’s a long parade of similar mistakes made by the Party and grass roots Republicans are tired of being the victims of it. In Minnesota, the Party was so obviously disorganized and inept that Al Franken, an empty headed joker, is likely to win a Senate seat!

We are viewing the consequences of failed GOP leadership and as a result of political jealousy,  turf wars, greed, lousy communications and a host of other problems, Republicans are still as disorganized as they were when they were routed in November of last year! Life is still good for the hard core, entrenched leadership so they refuse to see the problems.

If you conclude from our remarks that we see the Republican Party as partly to blame for the mess now leading the country, you would be correct. We believe that Americans didn’t really want Obama’s policies but since Republicans played DEMOCRAT LIGHT and OPEN BORDERS (among other things) voters decided to choose a slick image backed by a lot of money! There is too much self serving, entrenched leadership at all levels in the Republican Party and as a result dedicated grass roots Republicans are having to live with a country that is being bankrupted and led toward socialism! The Republican Party had better wake up soon and get rid of its COUNTRY CLUB STRATEGY or the Democrats will have gained so much power there will never be another Republican majority in Congress... maybe anywhere.

If those in the Party at any level were to seek our views we would advise that the GOP had better offer voters some real, practical options that will return the country to conservative values. They also need to find a way to make the their case convincing. There is good leadership available in the Republican Party, it just remains to be chosen. We believe, AND THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN SOON, the GOP should put its future in the hands of someone with some brains, experienced, financial expertise and discipline. At this point, we believe Mitt Romney could meet the challenge!

SPECULATIONS CONCERNING THE SWINE FLU VIRUS

Pardon us for putting these thoughts forward because we don't want to scare anyone. That said, we believe we are still "at war" with determined enemy terrorists and it is, in our view, not unreasonable to suggest certain possibilities that have not yet been suggested by government or the media.

With that in mind, is it unreasonable to suggest the possibility (not the probability) that the current invasion of a new variety of swine flu could be an attack by an Al Qaeda engineered virus. News coverage seems to be unable to answer many questions concerning this virus. For instance, can we envision a scenario where a virus may have gotten away from its handlers? Would Mexico not be a natural stopover for a route into the U. S.? Could Al Qaeda be developing a strategy for an even more devastating attack by a more deadly disease? Could those who may have engineered such a virus have thought that this new swine flu virus would be more potent than it is? Why was it fatal only in Mexico and not the U.S.? Could the disease have lost its potency while it was en-route?

All sorts of explanations have been put forth in the media, none that take a deliberate attack into consideration. This is to be expected. If the current government were faced with such a scenario, policies would need to be changed in a hurry and the "mindset" of the current Administration and Congress would need to be drastically altered. Government would be required to adjust and current policies would seem to be ridiculous. As is, the liberals currently running the government refuse to recognize that war exists between the free world and certain groups. These groups would have no hesitation to use all forms of WMD and either have or are developing nuclear weapons. So, biological warfare would seem to fall right into the same policy category. We speculate that the country's present liberal leadership would officially try to ignore events that ran counter to their current policies until enough of the public became concerned! Case in point: They are ignoring the facts concerning Iran, Pakistan and North Korea right now!

According to news reports, scientists have identified the current strain of swine flu as a virus that normally does not pass between animals and people, but, somehow, it now does. News reports describe this as "extremely rare." Explanations have been offered that the virus has "mutated" on its own but is it not within the realm of possibility that scientists contracted to Al Qaeda may have created a mutation in a laboratory that could be unleashed on the world as a "test run" to be followed by another, more lethal biological creation? Would we not be foolish if we didn't consider this and that the most logical route to the U.S. is through Mexico?

Let us be clear! We certainly DO NOT suggest that there is evidence that THE CURRENT swine flu virus infections are a deliberate attack on the free world. However, given previous threatening statements by captured Al Queda and other enemies, we believe the idea of a deliberate biological attack should be placed within the realm of consideration. Could this swine flu virus be a human engineered disease designed as a trial run to cause havoc and cost billions? So far, the havoc and the billions are on track!

It's almost laughable that Secretary Napolitano has announced that the Administration isn't closing the border! If such orders were issued, they would be ridiculous in view of the present state of border security. For instance, we hypothesize that while 15 people were being asked for papers at a legal border crossing 1000 would be crossing into the U.S. with little restraint through their own personally selected border crossing! It's obvious that any terrorist seeking to deliver an "engineered" virus COULD easily bring it into the country and spread it at will.

AMERICAN NUREMBERG

There is a lot of talk about prosecuting former Bush Administration officials for legal opinions provided to CIA operatives concerning interrogation techniques. This amounts to creating a United States Nuremberg trial! It is apparently a politically motivated "witch hunt" driven by a desire to "get-even" with Bush and Cheney. Proceeding with prosecution or even hearings on this would be a serious mistake on the part of the Obama Administration and the Congress.

Citizens will remember those Congressmen and Senators who travel this "road of revenge" and vote them out of office. If the "show trials" go forward, Congress will be engaged in a policy of national destruction! After all, it was Obama who released the interrogation documents that started this and did so against the advice of his own and 5 former CIA Directors. Indicating it's Pelosi's responsibility and thereby "passing the buck," as Clinton did in the Waco Massacre, is disingenuous to say the least.

Concerning "prosecution," the actions of Janet Reno, former Attorney General for the Clinton Administration, should have, in our opinion, been far more "subject to prosecution," for her Waco involvement, than anything the CIA did to interrogate captured Al Qaeda criminals! In Waco, Texas on April 19, 1993, many believe Janet Reno ordered an attack on the Branch Davidian religious group that owned a compound in Waco, Texas. They were a "way out" religious group that had been "demonized" for months prior to the government attack. Correct us if we are wrong but being a "way out" religious group is not unlawful in the United States, as far as we know. Back this up with the Ruby Ridge "incident" and the Elian Gonzalez Abduction and you see a very ugly picture of government "intervention!"

After a long siege at Waco, government actions were taken that led to the fiery death of 74 people, including twelve children who were less than 5 years of age. Of course, the fire was "billed" as an "accident" but anyone on or off the scene would have known that a fire started on the upwind side of the building in such a high wind would quickly engulf it and make escape impossible. In our opinion, government "operatives" deliberately burned those people alive! This act brings to mind the Salem witch trials, an ugly period in American History, where public opinion was manipulated so that women who were declared "witches" could be burned alive at the stake. Nobody suggested that "WACO Janet" be tried for her part in the WACO Massacre but they should have! According to news reports, President Clinton denied any involvement in decisions connected with it. In other words, he "passed the buck."

Should those in the Clinton Administration who were in any way connected with the WACO Massacre be prosecuted for those events? Many believe it is far more criminal to attack Americans on their own property for their odd religious beliefs, than it is to "waterboard" a select group of America's proven foreign enemies during a war! We would say that women and little children being burned alive was a lot more egregious than "waterboarding! Yet the "demonizing" of the Davidians was so pervasive that few questioned the government's actions.

It may be interesting to note that Eric Holder, now Obama's Attorney General, was Janet Reno's Deputy Attorney General! It may also be interesting to keep Waco in mind, when judging the brand of decision making that characterized a previous Democratic Administration. For instance, Obama may have delayed the rescue of a Sea Captain in order to AVOID killing pirate criminals! According to Democrat Presidents,who is more dangerous and more "deserving of "government action?" PIRATES holding a captive or those who practice odd-ball religions?

Common sense raises an important question: What sorts of values come from the White House when Democrats like Clinton or Obama are President?

INTELLIGENCE GATHERING IS CRIPPLED, WHAT'S NEXT?

The recent Obama Administration's decision to release previously TOP SECRET CIA documents when its own CIA Director opposed it and 5 previous CIA Directors also adamantly opposed it is truly DEPLORABLE! Obviously this action was motivated totally by political considerations and it shows just how mistaken many citizens of the country are when it comes to trusting Obama to live up to his oath to protect the nation and its people from attack. Intelligence gathering has now been greatly compromised and many who work in sensitive positions in the various intelligence agencies will re-evaluate their decision-making when it comes to obtaining critical information.

A speech in front of a "hand picked" group of secretaries, janitors and "chosen for TV audience," told to cheer at Obama's comments,while gathered in the lobby of an agency will not convince knowledgeable people here OR OUR ENEMIES ABROAD that the Commander-in-Chief knows what he is doing with regard to intelligence gathering.

Undoubtedly, most people do not fully comprehend or understand the complexity or importance of this decision. However, if a WMD or another type of attack does come and thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands are killed, they will THEN understand!

FOLLOWING IN THE FOOSTEPS OF JIMMY CARTER?

African pirates off the Somali Coast are holding a U. S. Merchant Marine Captain hostage. The pirates are drifting in a small lifeboat and close by are three warships of the U.S. Navy. While the Captain is in the “custody” of the pirates, he jumps out of the pirate lifeboat and starts swimming to get away. The Pirates recapture him, all of this in view of the warships.

One must ask, in this situation, whether the warships were told by the Obama White House to “stand down” and not, under any circumstances, harm the pirates? We weren’t there (so anyone could concoct any “story” as a cover-up) but it would seem that at least one of the warships should have been put in a position where they could significantly aid the Captain if he did try to escape? Did nobody think to do that or did the rules of engagement, passed down from the White House, prevent the Navy from acting. If any of us were swimming away and trying to escape these pirates we’d all be saying to ourselves, “O.K. boys! Where the hell are you?” Did three Navy warships just stand by and watch the pirates recapture him while he was swimming away?

What’s going on here? Is Obama trying to save the hostage or the pirates? If it’s the pirates, why is that? Maybe this is just the “normal” liberal reflex going on. You know, no war, no violence; everybody is really a “good guy” at heart, etc. That’s one of the many “hang-ups” that got Jimmy Carter in trouble in his failed attempt to rescue hostages from the U. S. Embassy in Tehran! In our opinion, an attack by Marines with “bunker busters” on the pirate ports along the Somali Coast would go a long way toward solving the piracy problem. But then again, what did Thomas Jefferson know, right?

Many people believe Obama just doesn’t know what to do and refuses to accept the advice of his military advisors. Maybe he called the “brain trust” out in Berkeley and is taking their advice, which knows. It might be that he just wishes the problem would go just go away and if he waits long enough and does nothing he won’t be criticized and the “situation” will resolve itself. Unfortunately, Captain Phillips is caught in a web of liberal politics while the White House is sucking its thumb.

Once again, our enemies around the world are watching carefully, and taking notes, as a few pirates in a lifeboat engage in neutering the United States! The image of America around the world is plunging farther and more rapidly than it ever did under George Bush! THIS AIN'T GOOD, FOLKS!.

Editorial: President Obama ... too much of an entrance?

In London for the G20 summit are discussing serious and weighty issues, but the British press was entranced by the sheer size of President Barack Obama’s traveling entourage.

Obama arrived with a staff of 500 staff in tow, including 200 Secret Service agents, a team of six doctors, the White House chef and kitchen staff with the president’s own food and water.

And, according to the Evening Standard, he also came with “35 vehicles in all, four speech writers and 12 teleprompters.”
The press duly reported on Air Force One and all its bells and whistles but also on the presence of the presidential helicopter, Marine One, and a fleet of identical decoys.

Among all those vehicles is the presidential limousine, which one local paper mistakenly called Cadillac One, but is universally referred to as the Beast. The limo, reinforced with ceramic and titanium armor, carries tear gas cannon, night vision devices, its own oxygen and is resistant to chemical and radiation attack. It is, marveled one reporter, a sort of mobile panic room.

The president is entitled to all the security, communications and support he feels necessary to do his job but surely, when we’re trying to project a more restrained, humble image to the world, the president’s huge retinue could be scaled back to something less regal.
