PARTISAN CAR DEALER CLOSINGS?

Bloggers are examining whether the Administration is selecting the closing of Chrysler dealerships based on owner contributions to the Republican Party. The Washington Examiner has an article dealing with this subject. The link is at the bottom of this commentary.

One might argue that automobile dealers are predominantly right leaning and so an elimination of this kind of business would naturally impact Republicans more than Democrats. However, there are some noteworthy examples of dealerships that have been spared the axe and this raises suspicions. Then again, according to public perception, one might find a Republican political bias among business in general, unless it was a Wall Street bank or a major media outlet! (The exception is FOX News, of course) After all, businessmen are generally risk takers, value individual initiative, dislike high taxes and appreciate hard work instead of handouts so why wouldn’t they be Republicans! What they generally admire is called Capitalism and what the Democrats currently admire is called Socialism! (Or as Thomas Sowell observes, Fascism.)

It could be a BIG story if evidence is found that supports an allegation that the Administration is engaging in the systematic elimination of Republican contributors or what the Examiner's Michael Barone refers to as "gangster government." We fear that the facts of the case might be drowned out, as, thus far, so much else has been, by BO's talented speech making and “cool” demeanor.

RiteOn wonders when people will awaken from a continuing fog of campaign rhetoric and realize that the country has been bankrupted and a better future has been stolen from their children. When will we realize that a super majority of socialist leaning politicians have been allowed to exercise outrageous government power and are systematically destroying the basic values of our Constitution.

THE DEATH OF ISRAEL

The following is a very sobering article that illustrates the pacifist path being pursued by the Obama Administration. This and other naive policies represent the same kind of danger to this country that Europe faced in the years prior to WW II. An eventual conflict that was much more dangerous and much more costly in lives and treasure than anyone could have had the guts to imagine. European leaders tried to convince themselves that Hitler was really seeking peace and if no real opposition to his ambitions was put forth the world would realize “peace in our time.”

Of course, Neville Chamberlain’s views turned out to be total folly, as we predict Obama’s present wishful thinking policies will. We were fortunate in WW II because we were out of reach of the sort of WMD weapons available at the time of Hitler. That is NOT the case today and in the name of self preservation, Obama should stop putting policies in place to please a political constituency, both at home and abroad, that will create a defenseless America .....  Chuck

THE WAR BETWEEN THE WHITE HOUSE AND PELOSI

WE TOLD YOU FIRST!

A few days ago we speculated (see "A LESSON IN STREET POLITICS" - below) that the Obama Administration was using the CIA and its Obama appointed Director, Leon Panetta, to force Nancy Pelosi to back off.

The message they are sending is to knock down Pelosi's overly ambitious attempts to dictate White House policy and turn Obama into a puppet with which to pursue her radical far left agenda. In our opinion, and we have written so repeatedly, Obama is already promoting a socialist agenda and needs no prompting from Pelosi. As we mentioned previously, the differences between Pelosi and the Obama Administration are all about Washington power and protecting turf! That sort of activity disregards Party lines.

As we have also pointed out, the nation and our traditional political system benefits by protection of the Constitution's provisions of separation of powers. Pelosi is obviously seeking to turn the country into a bankrupt socialist political entity like her home state of California. Neither she nor Obama seem to care whether they shred the Constitution to accomplish that goal. In our view, anything that stops the destruction of the time-tested values in our Constitution is a plus for the country.

We note that media commentators, especially on FOX NEWS, seem to be speculating that our view concerning the political dynamic between Pelosi and Obama was accurate. We have not received mention from any major media outlet and we don't generally thump our own drum but, in this case, please remember, you read it at RiteOn FIRST!

A LESSON IN STREET POLITICS

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi got caught telling several different versions of her CIA briefings about what she now conveniently calls torture. Why was she caught between a rock and hard place on this subject? After all, isn’t it her fellow Democrat and ally, Barack Obama, who decided to release these CIA documents that put her in a position where she got snagged?

Allow us a moment of to hypothesize about Washington Politics. We recall the days of J. Edgar Hoover and the FBI. Politicians learned early on in dealing with Mr. Hoover that, if they tried to step on his toes or get too “controlling,” he would arrange for something to come up that would change their minds. After a bit of this, the word got around not to challenge the FBI in areas where either their image or their functionality were concerned.

Now we have Mr. Obama’s appointed head of the CIA, several previous Directors and the Administration telling Congress and the media that they don’t believe it’s a good idea to prosecute previous administration officials about their decisions concerning the interrogation of terrorists. According to media reports, Ms Pelosi and some of her left wing pals in Congress want to continue, come hell or high water, along this highly destructive path. Indications are that this is directly at odds with the Administration’s wishes.

A careful observer can see between the lines that Ms Pelosi and her Bush hating, revenge driven, pals are trying to run White House policy as well as legislation in Congress. Their big majority and the egos they have to match seem to have them telling Mr. Obama what he should and should not do, on an almost daily basis. Neither the Congress nor the Administration have anything to fear from the Republicans, as they are leaderless, disorganized and were beaten into near insignificance by voters in the last election. So, Obama’s biggest in-house political problem became how to get Nancy & Company off the Administration’s back and keep her from trying to run their show.

Our guess, from what we see evolving, is that they had a little pow-wow in the boiler room at the White House and decided to use the CIA to get Ms Pelosi out of their hair.  As we have previously observed, it may prove as dangerous to mess with the CIA under Panetta as it was with the FBI under Hoover. To prove our point, the CIA released some carefully selected documents and may release more that could continue to be damaging to Madame Speaker! Of course this continues to fan the firestorm in the media that Pelosi is having a most difficult time containing because it is obvious that she has been caught in a lie about an important issue. Obama’s lap dogs in the media are more than happy to have some Democrat meat on the table to chew on for a change. It is worth noting that Leon Panetta, Obama’s hand picked CIA Chief is making statements that directly contradict Ms. Pelosi’s statements, thus indicating that she is not telling the truth about her briefings and previous knowledge about waterboarding and other techniques.

The fat is in the fire, though, because it now looks as though she has raised the odds by indicating that she wants a full investigation of the facts, something the Republicans have been asking for since the issue began making headlines. As things are shaping up, though, we would refrain from calling it a falling out among thieves. If we were even close to being correct in this matter, we would have to raise our estimate of the White House’s tactical abilities to a slightly higher level!

Our guess is that BO and his advisors are sending her a strong message that they will dictate what policies will come out of the White House and they don’t want her pushing suggestions on them that invariably become demands! Not that whatever comes out of either the White House or Congress will be palatable to Republicans or good for the country but we believe this illustrates just how potent the White House can be, under any President, when it comes to holding its own with Congress. We are not fans of Obama’s policies but defending the Presidency against a pushy, far left and power mad Congressional leadership is at least one policy that would seem to be in the best interest of the people.

If al-Qaeda, the Taliban and the rest of the Looney Tunes brigade want to kick America to death, they had better move in quickly and grab a piece of the action before Barack Obama finishes the job himself. Never in the history of the United States has a president worked so actively against the interests of his own people - not even Jimmy Carter.

Obama's problem is that he does not know who the enemy is. To him, the enemy does not squat in caves in Waziristan, clutching automatic weapons and reciting the more militant verses from the Koran: instead, it sits around at tea parties in Kentucky quoting from the US Constitution. Obama is not at war with terrorists, but with his Republican fellow citizens. He has never abandoned the campaign trail.

That is why he opened Pandora's Box by publishing the Justice Department's legal opinions on waterboarding and other hardline interrogation techniques. He cynically subordinated the national interest to his partisan desire to embarrass the Republicans. Then he had to rush to Langley , Virginia to try to reassure a demoralised CIA that had just discovered the President of the United States was an even more formidable foe than al-Qaeda.

"Don't be discouraged by what's happened the last few weeks," he told intelligence officers. Is he kidding? Thanks to him, al-Qaeda knows the private interrogation techniques available to the US intelligence agencies and can train its operatives to withstand them - or would do so, if they had not already been outlawed.

So, next time a senior al-Qaeda hood is captured, all the CIA can do is ask him nicely if he would care to reveal when a major population centre is due to be hit by a terror spectacular, or which American city is about to be irradiated by a dirty bomb. Your view of this situation will be dictated by one simple criterion: whether or not you watched the people jumping from the twin towers...

President Pantywaist's recent world tour, cosying up to all the bad guys, excited the ambitions of America 's enemies. Here, they realised, is a sucker they can really take to the cleaners. His only enemies are fellow Americans. Which prompts the question: why does President Pantywaist hate America so badly?

DEEP TROUBLE

In a Seattle, Washington college classroom, they were discussing the qualifications to be President of the United States. It was pretty simple the candidate must be a natural born citizen of at least 35 years of age.

However, one girl in the class immediately started in on how unfair was the requirement to be a natural born citizen. In short, her opinion was that this requirement prevented many capable individuals from becoming president.

The class was taking it in and letting her rant, but everyone's jaw hit the floor when she wrapped up her argument by stating, 'What makes a natural born citizen any more qualified to lead this country than one born by C-section?' Yep, these are the 18 year olds that just voted for the President of the United States. These are our future leaders.

I think we are in deep trouble.

HORSES ASSES CONTROL EVERYTHING!

INTERESTING HISTORY LESSON

Railroad tracks. This is fascinating.

Be sure to read the final paragraph; your understanding of it will depend on the earlier part of the content.

The US standard railroad gauge (distance between the rails) is 4 feet, 8.5 inches. That's an exceedingly odd number.

Why was that gauge used? Because that's the way they built them in England , and English expatriates built the US railroads.

Why did the English build them like that? Because the first rail lines were built by the same people who built the pre-railroad tramways, and that's the gauge they used.

Why did 'they' use that gauge then? Because the people who built the tramways used the same jigs and tools that they used for building wagons, which used that wheel spacing.

Why did the wagons have that particular odd wheel spacing? Well, if they tried to use any other spacing, the wagon wheels would break on some of the old, long distance roads in England , because that's the spacing of the wheel ruts.

So who built those old rutted roads? Imperial Rome built the first long distance roads in Europe (and England ) for their legions. The roads have been used ever since.

And the ruts in the roads? Roman war chariots formed the initial ruts, which everyone else had to match for fear of destroying their wagon wheels. Since the chariots were made for Imperial Rome , they were all alike in the matter of wheel spacing. Therefore the United States standard railroad gauge of 4 feet, 8.5 inches is derived from the original specifications for an Imperial Roman war chariot. Bureaucracies live forever.

So the next time you are handed a specification/procedure/process and wonder 'What horse's ass came up with it?', you may be exactly right. Imperial Roman army chariots were made just wide enough to accommodate the rear ends of two war horses. (Two horse's asses.) Now, the twist to the story:

When you see a Space Shuttle sitting on its launch pad, there are two big booster rockets attached to the sides of the main fuel tank. These are solid rocket boosters, or SRB's. The SRB's are made by Thiokol at their factory in Utah . The engineers who designed the SRB's would have preferred to make them a bit fatter, but the SRB's h ad to be shipped by train from the factory to the launch site. The railroad line from the factory happens to run through a tunnel in the mountains, and the SRB's had to fit through that tunnel. The tunnel is slightly wider than the railroad track, and the railroad track, as you now know, is about as wide as two horses' behinds.

So, a major Space Shuttle design feature of what is arguably the world's most advanced transportation system was determined over two thousand years ago by the width of a horse's ass. And you thought being a horse's ass wasn't important? Ancient horse's asses control almost everything ... and CURRENT Horses Asses are controlling everything else.

 

BULLY PULPIT OR THREATENING PULPIT?

There are some precedents being attempted by the Obama Administration in their involvement and manipulation of the Chrysler bankruptcy that are undermining the very foundations of property rights as defined by the 5th Amendment of the Constitution.

WE won’t bore you with the complete text of the 5th Amendment but instead will present the portion that directly applies to what is being violated:

"… Nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.”

The Obama Administration is attempting to use their ability to manipulate a fawning media to ruin the reputation of those who do not go along with their suggestions concerning Chrysler’s financial difficulties. The senior equity holders have apparently been advised by their financial consultants that they would be better off financially to let the courts decide about distribution of Chrysler's assets instead of agreeing with the Administration’s plan.

For those who do not understand why certain equity holders get more under bankruptcy law than others do, it’s a simple matter of understanding how bankruptcies work. Those who have first call on the assets are the lenders (bond holders and banks). The employees and stockholders do not come first and therefore get what’s left AFTER the senior lenders are paid. THAT’S THE LAW based on the Constitution! This is one of the core beliefs of American property rights protection and it is under attack by a President who should know better, that is, unless his goal is to destroy property rights and the Constitution! The Obama Administration has been accused of using pressure tactics to force the senior creditors to “cave” and they have hired legal counsel to seek protection from the consequences of these tactics.

Barack Obama was a Constitutional law professor and better than most, he should understand Constitutional protections under the 5th Amendment (and other sections of the law). It seems that his Administration, in perhaps seeking to reward those who supported him for election and, possibly, for other considerations, is being accused of flagrant violations of the Constitution. This has not yet been made clear to most of the population. Whether it will, in view of the continued infatuation of the major media, is anyone’s guess.

NEW INFORMATION concerning Obama's eligibility to be President is still making news. Below are excerpts from an AP article written on April 1 that has just now come to our attention.

Many people believe that continuing to question Obama's eligibility to be President is a wasted effort and counterproductive. We feel that, particularly in this instance, defending the basic principles of the Constitution is more important than convenience and expediency!

Our purpose in presenting this information is NOT to advocate the removal of Obama from office because, given his current popularity and the infatuated state of mind of his supporters, this is an unrealistic expectation. Our aim here is to illustrate the current state of politics that exists in the country.

Politics in the USA has evolved into a popularity contest where too many people are distracted into setting aside the core principles that made us the most powerful nation in the world. The November 2008 election shows that the way to succeed is to reward big money interests and the overly power hungry! A bad precedent! It also showed that the Constitution can be violated and important principles ignored if a whipping boy can be can be used to divert voter attention away from core values.

It is corrupting of our democracy and its institutions to continue to disregard our most important standards and to create conditions where entertainment and a slick style, NOT ideas and adherence to principle, become the dominant way to gain powerful political office! As you can read among the following excerpts, nearly a million dollars in legal fees was spent by the Obama Campaign to keep the candidate's personal history, including HIS ELIGIBILITY, out of sight of the voters.

We believe that a big factor in analyzing the political state of the nation lies in the dominance of a corrupt education system that has for year's brainwashed children with trivia and denied them knowledge of the nation's most basic values. We are now paying the price for our neglect of basic education and for disregarding its corrupt state.

Despite the disadvantages and propaganda that the education system throws at them, many young people have somehow been able to avoid the corruption of liberal brainwashing. Witness the brave young people who serve and defend our country around the world! For this we must thank those teachers with an independent mind, churches and most of all good parents! The fact that young people were the largest group to support Obama speaks volumes about liberal disregard of the importance of the Constitution and the low level of esteem they hold for those traditional values held by the majority. We don't blame those young people who have succumbed to the liberal dogma, we simply lament the fact that they were not given the tools with which to make quality political decisions. As a result of their inability to judge they have now helped to put their future in jeopardy! To be honest, we empathize with them to some degree, because in their selection of a Presidential candidate, the Republican Party failed to give voters a clear choice.

The following information, gained through Freedom of Information sources, if true, shows that Barack Obama was either a foreign national when he applied for the Fulbright Scholarship OR he lied about his citizenship in order to obtain financing for his education! If these were considered unimportant considerations, then we would emphatically disagree! Apparently, the Democratic Party and the entire retinue of Obama groupies are apparently willing to disregard the strong evidence that Mr. Obama was installed as President of the United States in violation of one of the U.S. Constitution's most sacred principles. AP- WASHINGTON D.C. - In a move certain to fuel the debate over Obama's qualifications for the presidency, the group "Americans for Freedom of Information" has released copies of President Obama's college transcripts from Occidental College. Released today, the transcript indicates that Obama, under the name Barry Soetoro, received financial aid as a foreign student from Indonesia as an undergraduate at the school. The transcript was released by Occidental College in compliance with a court order in a suit brought by the group in the Superior Court of California. The transcript shows that Obama (Soetoro) applied for financial aid and was awarded a fellowship for foreign students from the Fulbright Foundation Scholarship program. To qualify, for the scholarship, a student must claim foreign citizenship. This document would seem to provide the smoking gun that many of Obama's detractors have been seeking.

The news has created a firestorm at the White House as the release casts increasing doubt about Obama's legitimacy and qualification to serve as president. When reached for comment in London, where he has been in meetings with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Obama smiled but refused comment on the issue. Meanwhile, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs scoffed at the report stating that this was obviously another attempt by a right-wing conservative group to discredit the president and undermine the administration's efforts to move the country in a new direction.

Britain's Daily Mail has also carried the story in a front-page article titled, "Obama Eligibility Questioned", leading some to speculate that the story may overshadow economic issues on Obama's first official visit to the U.K.

In a related matter, under growing pressure from several groups, Justice Antonin Scalia announced that the Supreme Court agreed on Tuesday to hear arguments concerning Obama's legal eligibility to serve as President in a case brought by Leo Donofrio of New Jersey.

This lawsuit claims Obama's dual citizenship disqualified him from serving as president. Donofrio's case is just one of 18 suits brought by citizens demanding proof of Obama's citizenship or qualification to serve as president.

Gary Kreep of the United States Justice Foundation has released the results of their investigation of Obama's campaign spending. This study estimates that Obama has spent upwards of $950,000 in campaign funds in the past year with eleven law firms in 12 states for legal resources to block disclosure of any of his personal records. Mr. Kreep indicated that the investigation is still ongoing but that the final report will be provided to the U.S. attorney general, Eric Holder. Mr. Holder has refused to comment on the matter.
