To  All,

I just returned from  Haiti with Hebler. We flew in at 3 AM Sunday to the scene of such incredible destruction on one side, and enormous ineptitude and criminal neglect on the other.

Port o Prince is in ruins. The rest of the country is fairly intact. Our team was a rescue team and we carried special equipment that locates people buried under the rubble.

There are easily 200,000 dead, the city smells like a charnel house. The bloody UN was there for 5 years doing apparently nothing but wasting US Taxpayers money. The ones I ran into were either incompetents or outright anti-American. Most are French or French speakers, worthless every damn one of them. While 1800 rescuers were ready willing and able to leave the airport and go do our jobs, the UN and USAID (another organization full of little OBama-ites and communists that  openly speak against America) These two organizations exemplified their  parochialism by:

USAID, when in control of all inbound  flights, had food and water flights stacked up all the way to Miami, yet  allowed Geraldo Rivera, Anderson Cooper and a host of other left wing news puppies to land.

Pulled all the security off the rescue teams so that Bill Clinton and his wife could have the grand tour, whilst we sat unable to get to people trapped in the rubble.

Stacked enough food and water for the relief over at the side of the airfield then put a guard on it while we dehydrated and wouldn’t release a drop of it to the  rescuers.

No shower facilities to decontaminate after digging or moving corpses all day, except for the FEMA teams who brought their own shower and decon equipment, as well as air conditioned tents.

No latrine facilities, less digging a hole, everyone was trying to use it.

I watched a 25 year-old Obama-ite with the USAID shrieking hysterically and berating a full bird colonel in the air force, because he countermanded her orders, whilst trying to unscrew the air pattern. "You don’t know what your president wants! The military isn’t in charge here we are!”

If any of you are thinking of giving money to the Haitian relief, or to the UN don’t waste your money. It will only go to further the goals of the French and the Liberal left.

If we are a fair and even society, why is it that only white couples are adopting Haitian orphans. Where the hell is that vocal minority that is always screaming about the injustice of American society.

Bad place, bad situation, but a perfect look at the new world order in action. New Orleans magnified a thousand times. Haiti doesn’t need democracy, what Haiti needs is Papa Doc. That’s not just my opinion that is what virtually every Haitian we talked with said. “The French run, the UN treat us the same as when we were a colony." At least Papa Doc ran the country.

Oh, and as a last slap in the face the last four of us had to take US  AIRWAY’s home from Phoenix. They slapped me with a 590 dollar baggage charge for the four of us. The girl at the counter was almost in tears because she couldn’t give us a discount or she would lose her job. Pass that on to the flying public.

Will Tea Party Activists Bring an End to RINOs?

Last week, Scott Brown showed that running a campaign built on conservative principles could not only win, but it could win in the bluest of blue states. His platform keyed in on the frustration felt by Tea Party activists that the federal government is out of control. He made Barack Obama and left-wing policies his targets, and he won.

But what does it mean for the future? The answer is simple; it means that the so-called Republicans in Name Only (RINOs) should beware. Actually, any Washington incumbent should probably be sleeping with one eye open as we move into the primary election season, but those Republicans who put politics over principle and helped pave the way to massive spending should be particularly troubled. In order to truly change Washington, there needs to be a fresh approach. You can't do that with stale leaders.

In my analysis of Scott Brown's victory, I noted to main themes used by his campaign:

Point #1 -- Us Against the machine

Brown struck a note with voters by signaling that he is "one of them." That the real opponent was not Martha Coakley but rather the political machine that is Washington, DC. But it is more than that. The "machine" also refers to political parties, Republican or Democrat, when they try to subvert the will of the people to get their pet issue passed, their candidate anointed, or keep the perks in place. The American people are sick and tired of it. This is a bottom up country, not top down. A revolution was fought on that very principle, and it is part of the very fabric of our nation.

Point #2 -- Putting People First

While the media referred to the Senate seat as "Ted Kennedy's seat," Brown saw things more clearly. It is the "people's seat." American's don't want socialism. They don't want an all-mighty government. They want the America that has become the most powerful and most generous in the world. Putting people first does NOT mean having a central government that does everything FOR the people by taking money and power away from them to distribute to the programs, causes, people, and jobs that the "government" says are worthy. Putting people first means adhering to the notion that this is a FREE country with Americans free to pursue the American dream without being penalized for it. Putting people first means respecting the role of government and limiting it to the core functions for which it was created. The American people can do the rest.

Both these points key on the sentiments of many Americans, especially embodied by the Tea Party activists. The problem for some Republicans is that they were the ones who did not put people first and who became part of the machine. Spending, big government programs, and amnesty are not part of conservative principles. Yet that's exactly what we were getting. People want conservative government, not a promise of it.

Thus, the big question is, "How many times are we going to trust the same politicians who continue to put politics over principle?"

Former Arizona Rep. J.D. Hayworth has his answer. The popular conservative turned talkshow host is saying "enough is enough" and will be challenging Sen. John McCain in the primary. As noted in AZCentral.com, "Former Rep. J.D. Hayworth appears ready to take on Sen. John McCain in Arizona's Republican Senate primary. With Hayworth severing his ties Friday with Phoenix radio station KFYI-AM (550), the entry of the former six-term congressman into the race seems certain."

Hayworth's consideration of the race has already affected McCain's reelection strategy. McCain wants to win reelection by branding himself as the conservative with experience. He's even enlisted former running mate Sarah Palin to help. But this is the "conservative" who told George W. Bush to slow down on tax cuts and "target" them to only the people who need them. This is the "conservative" who helped let outstanding conservative judges hang in the wind. And this is the conservative who championed amnesty as our cure for illegal immigration.

Again, compare Scott Brown's Issues Page on his web site and the points he raised in his campaign to many of the so-called conservatives in Washington. They just don't match up. We can't hope for real change if we keep electing Republicans who embrace Scott Brown-style conservatism only during election time. We need real conservatives during the rest of the year when laws are actually made.

The massive stimulus plan that was pushed by Barack Obama and left-wing Democrats would have failed had Republicans just stuck together. The problem is that there were not enough of them who believed in basic conservative principles. I'm not talking about far right-wingers here. I'm just talking about Republicans who believe in lower taxes and smaller government. If any Republican has a problem with issues like that, then he or she SHOULD be voted out of office.

THE VOTE IN MASSACHUSETTS

We have read many of the commentaries about the special election tomorrow in Massachusetts so we thought we would add a few thoughts of our own.
 
First, the media seems stunned that a Republican could win election in such an overwhelmingly Democrat state. Does it not occur to them that maybe even Democrats can see disaster coming with current proposals relating to health care legislation? I might like you as a friend but I'm sure as blazes not going over a cliff with you unless we are both crazy! We believe the MA voters may be "different" politically than we here in the Midwest, but we don't believe they are "crazy."

Many people, perhaps even some in MA, are afraid that the entrenched left wingers who control the Democrat Party are so corrupt that they will simply steal the election. The old Chicago and ACORN style politics where all sorts of voter fraud like phony registrations, dead people voting, dogs voting and all sorts of "new" techniques are employed to guarantee that the Democrat wins. The recent election in Minnesota, where a comedian won election to the Senate, is probably a good example.

Then, even if using the techniques described above, the numbers should go against the Democrat, the certification can be delayed through court proceedings and ways can be found to thwart the decision of the people for at least long enough to get the onerous health care legislation to the President's desk.

The downside of such embedded corruption is that many will feel the election process is beyond fixing. More and more may feel that what was a relatively honest system that they could rely on have been so undermined that they will seek other ways to have their voices heard. Ironically, Massachusetts was one of the places where such a process started in 1775.
 
We do not, nor have we ever, recommended that any citizen act outside of the law.  Political leaders are reminded, however, that when elections become so corrupt that people lose confidence in the basic fairness of the election process they will seek other methods to make their voices heard. That's just a fact!

We believe that the "system" can be straightened out at the ballot box but that belief would certainly be shaken if the will of the people continues to be disregarded with such contempt by those in power. We urge people to stay within the law and use their abilities to keep informed and vote for what they believe is right.  That said, the "powers that be" occasionally need to be reminded that, historically, corrupt decision making and the systematic undermining of freedom sometimes has unintended consequences.

WHAT ARE WE STUPID? - OBAMA INVITES A NIGHTMARE

The storyline is hauntingly familiar: terrorist detainees were moved to a major city to await trial.  While there, fellow Islamic terrorists decided to make a daring and dastardly attempt to gain their release, not by attacking the well-protected courtroom or the heavily guarded detention facility (they are bloodthirsty but they are not stupid), but by going for a more tantalizing target.
Thirty-five bomb-laden Muslim terrorists stormed a crowded middle school full of parents, teachers, and children.  By doing so, they immediately gained what they desired most: the eyes of a watching world paralyzed with fear at what they might do.  And the world had reason to fear.  Over the course of this three-day massacre, the terrorists barricaded doors and tied up authorities in "negotiations" that were used only to buy them the time they needed to coldly execute the stronger men hostages, rape young girls in front of their watching mothers, and rig explosives throughout the complex to ensure that when the authorities stormed the building there would be massive casualties.
This horrific drama played out in the quiet Russian town of Beslan just five short years ago.  In the end, 394 lay dead (over half of them children) with another 704 injured.
 
And stunningly, Barack Obama has just invited the same carnage to our shores.
 
When the President's Attorney General Eric Holder announced the administration's breathtakingly ignorant decision to bring 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed (KSM) and five compatriots to New York City to stand trial in civilian court for their act of war, there was undoubtedly a collective gasp in the small towns outside New York.  The citizens there surely must recognize that the high-profile status of KSM alone is enough to tempt every terror cell this side of Basra to consider making their rural middle schools the stage for Beslan: Act Two.
 
Why any president sworn to protect the lives of his fellow citizens would take such an outrageously absurd and completely unnecessary risk is unfathomable.  And make no mistake...it is unnecessary.  KSM and his fellow terrorists were already being tried by military commissions far away from American children and out of the international spotlight that they so desperately crave.  Many, including KSM, had already pled guilty and requested execution.
 
But Barack Obama halted these commissions when he came into office, apparently more concerned with bolstering his image as a "citizen of the world" than protecting his own people.  He then passed the buck to Eric Holder who announced that the terrorists would be brought to one of America's largest cities for the trial of the century.
 
The negative consequences of this decision are plentiful.  From endangering innocent Americans to gift-wrapping a perfect propaganda opportunity for the terrorist world, this decision is inexcusable.  And considering that the choice to try these monsters in civilian courts was to supposedly ensure that justice would be done, this decision becomes incomprehensible.  (How, for instance, will these show trials result in any better or more just outcome than a guilty plea and execution sentence – something that the military commission had all but secured?)
 
In short, this is about to be a circus. [Editor's Note: Results from a related OneNewsNow poll question appear at the end of this column.]

Obama and Holder have now given constitutional "rights of the accused" to these terrorists (something that has never been done throughout all of American history). And if you don't think that their lawyers are going to bring up the manner of their detainment, the circumstances surrounding their capture, any perceived threats or mistreatment, any notion of coerced confessions, their lack of immediate access to attorneys, demand for relocation, complaints about a biased jury, calls for mistrials, and the need for an extensive appeals process, you aren't thinking...sort of like the Obama administration.
 
With a decision this bad – one that is receiving scorn across the country from angry Americans of all political backgrounds – one might hope that Team Obama would come to its senses and reverse course.  Not likely.
 
When announcing this preposterous decision Holder stated, "To the extent that there are political consequences, I'll just have to take my lumps."
 
Frankly, sir, the grisly images of Beslan are a little too fresh in our minds to be overly concerned with your personal political consequences.  We're a bit more concerned about the potentially deadly consequences this ragingly incompetent administration may have just brought on innocent American citizens.
 
Vice President Joe Biden once criticized Barack Obama's lack of preparedness for the serious responsibilities associated with the job of president by saying that the presidency was "not something that lends itself to on-the-job training."  God forbid that we're about to see just how right he was.

CONSERVATIVES RALLY FOR SOVEREIGNTY IN MO STATE CAPITOL

                                    Crowd gathers in Capitol Rotunda

Several hundred members of various conservative groups rallied in the State Capitol yesterday in support of a sovereignty measure known as the Healthcare Freedom Act. The crowd was greeted by a large number of supportive State Senators and Representatives. Several elected officials and leaders from the various visiting groups made rousing speeches in favor of the measure and opposed to socialist policies emanating from Washington. It was stated that passage of this legislation would offer protection from the imposition by the Federal Government of onerous policies such as Obamacare, energy regulation, gun control and a long list of other proposed legislation that might be forced on Missouri's citizens.

Of the many presentations given to the assembled crowd, the speech by Cindy McGee of Show Me Patriots was by far the most inspiring. She spoke, as far as we could tell, without notes and her comments brought the assembly to its feet to roar approval more than once. Support for what she had to say thundered throughout the building. Officials of both Parties could not have missed hearing the will of the gathering literally shaking the Capitol Building. Mrs. McGee spoke at times with considerable emotion, with obvious conviction and her comments most certainly coincided with the mood of the assembled gathering.

Besides Cindy McGee there were several leaders of organizations involved in the rally such as Annette Reed of I Heard the People Say, Bev Ehlen of Concerned Women of America and Joan Langenberg of Missouri Eagle Forum. Speakers included State Senators Jane Cunningham and Jim Lembke, Candidate Brian Nieves and others. The crowd received all with enthusiasm.

EASTERN MISSOURI CONSERVATIVE LEADERS CAUCUS

A dedicated group of experienced conservative leaders met for about 4 hours in State Senator Jim Lembke's office in St. Louis Saturday morning, January 9. RiteOn observed a common view and single mindedness among these area leaders that, if allowed to mature, could spell big trouble for RINOS and liberals and impact the status of many who currently believe they control the Republican Party.

Three objectives emerged from the meeting:

•   • To replace non-conservative candidates and office holders with conservatives in the  August Primary elections.

• To make certain a conservative candidate wins in the General election in November.

•   • To support conservative sponsored ballot issues and to defeat those issues the group opposes.

Senator Jim Lembke chaired the meeting that included brief presentations by various spokespersons and potential candidates. Senator Jane Cunningham also presented a status report on her Healthcare Freedom Act legislation.

The group was dubbed the "Eastern Missouri Patriot Express" by meeting organizers. It is composed of two leaders from each of the following conservative organizations. This was the initial meeting of the group. They plan to meet and communicate on a regular basis. The following attended and participated in the proceedings:

CULTURE CRISIS

A young physician by the name of Dr. Starner Jones wrote the following letter to the White House. His short four-paragraph letter accurately puts the blame on a "Culture Crisis" instead of a "Health Care Crisis". It's worth a quick read:

Dear Mr. President:

During my shift in the Emergency Room last night, I had the pleasure of evaluating a patient whose smile revealed an expensive shiny gold tooth, whose body was adorned with a wide assortment of elaborate and costly tattoos, who wore a very expensive brand of tennis shoes and who chatted on a new cellular telephone equipped with a popular R&B ringtone.

While glancing over her patient chart, I happened to notice that her payer status was listed as "Medicaid"! During my examination of her, the patient informed me that she smokes more than one costly pack of cigarettes every day and somehow still has money to buy pretzels and beer.

And, you and our Congress expect me to pay for this woman's health care? I contend that our nation's "health care crisis" is not the result of a shortage of quality hospitals, doctors or nurses. Rather, it is the result of a "crisis of culture", a culture in which it is perfectly acceptable to spend money on luxuries and vices while refusing to take care of one's self or, heaven forbid, purchase health insurance. It is a culture based in the irresponsible credo that "I can do whatever I want to because someone else will always take care of me".

Once you fix this "culture crisis" that rewards irresponsibility and dependency, you'll be amazed at how quickly our nation's health care difficulties will disappear.
