IT'S TIME TO CHOOSE, PART FOUR
by Chuck MacNab
We've often heard from the media and from less well-positioned campaigns that Romney is "unfair." Whether this emerges in a Presidential campaign or on a school playground, this sentiment usually relates to a wish from the losers that they had "gotten there first" or a wish that they had "thought of it." The reasoning goes like this. "After all, I'm obviously the best and the most qualified" so there must have been some "unfairness" or cheating or ?? involved!
Poppycock! Rarely do the losers agree that the winner was simply better prepared, had planned ahead and was better organized... except when the TV cameras are present to record it and then it's just "good politics" to show how magnanimous one can be as a loser.
We are not rendering a value judgment about each of the four Presidential candidates, except in the area of organizing to meet a challenge. For the purposes of this particular commentary, each candidate has attractive qualities that appeal to voters. However, referring to the organizing abilities of each, a case in point is the failure of both Santorum and Gingrich to meet the requirement to be on the ballot in all 50 states. They, or surely their advisors, knew the requirements. Or was it that they just didn't have the necessary planning skills and foresight to imagine that they might need to get this done? Now some are moaning and groaning and shouts of "unfairness," etc., fill the airwaves.
We ask ourselves, would we rather have a President that proves he can plan ahead, sees to it that the qualifications are met for whatever needs to be done and is well enough organized to do it or do we want one who isn't well enough organized to get himself on the ballot in all 50 states. Yeah, I know election requirements are complex but Ron Paul did it and so did Romney. We need a President who is so good at planning ahead and organizing that his opponents (whether at home or abroad) start shouting he's "unfair."
Personally, I want the left wing policies of the Obama Administration to be EFFECTIVELY opposed and eliminated... just as I want to see U.S. foreign policy organized well enough to put the screws to overseas dictators that have been defeating the United States and Obama on all fronts! We already have a disorganized, big spender in the White House. We need somebody that we KNOW will be able to send him, his camp followers and fellow travelers into retirement! At the risk of overstating the case, we believe Romney is the best man to get that done.
