RUSSIANS TO THE RESCUE
By Chuck MacNab
As Obama was about to pull the trigger on bungle number 169 (an attack on Syria), John Kerry, frantically sifting through the dirty laundry of foreign policy chaos left by Hillary, stumbled upon a morsel that could save the foreign policy mess that Obama and his primary advisors (Michelle, Valerie and Susan) have created.
Kerry's remark came out of thin air in the form of an off-the-cuff response at a press conference. As soon as it was uttered, he seemed to downplay the idea of putting Syria's chemical weapons under international supervision.
But the Russians quickly took up the suggestion and lost no time in converting Kerry's comment into an initiative that would work to their advantage. It also happened to work to Obama's advantage so, in typical political campaign fashion, he claimed credit for the idea by stating that he and Putin had been discussing just such a solution for "some time."
This is an example of pure and unadulterated hogwash if we have ever seen it. It is obvious that Obama, in almost total freefall, grabbed the only rope he was thrown and he has Kerry and Putin to thank for it.
Obama needs to dump the advice he's receiving from his three close lady advisors and listen to someone else. It won't happen of course, but, ideally, he should hire Netanyahu for a couple of months of crisis leadership training and get some foreign policy advice from John Bolton!
